    CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa surprise visits to Police Stations

    PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan on Saturday paid surprise visits to Faqirabad and Khazana police stations. The Chief Minister reached these police stations in the garb of a common man having no security escort. He checked registers and other records of these police stations, met with the detainees there and got information from them about the conduct of the police.

    The Chief Minister expressed displeasure over the non functioning of CCTV cameras and poor sanitation situation in Khazana Police Station and directed the in-charge of the police station for immediate steps to activate the CCTV cameras and improve the cleanliness in the premises of the police station. Mahmood khan also directed the relevant quarters of police to submit him a detailed report on the non functioning of CTTV cameras in police stations. During his visit to Faqeer Abad police station, the Chief Minister lauded the efficiency of staff for better management and maintaining the record of the police station in an organized and tidy manner.

    Mahmood Khan also met the visitors in these police stations and inquired from them about their issues and the attitude of the police. He directed the police personnel to take special care of the female and aged visitors.

    Talking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the present government was taking steps to transform the police stations into centers of justice for common man. He said that police, being responsible for the protection of life and properties of the people, should further improve its performance with the aim restore public confidence to the maximum. The Chief Minister further said that he would continue surprise visits to all departments and public service institutions and would not tolerate any negligence in public service delivery.
