CHITRAL: Chitral police arrested two young culprits involved in burglary in Denin village and recovered the stolen items from them.
SHO of Chitral police station, Munirul Mulk told Chitral Times that Azaz and Nazir Azam of Shinjal village, both at their early twenties, confessed to their crime before the court while the stolen articles including automatic rifle and ornaments of gold and silver were recovered.
He said that it was a blind case of burglary but the rigorous work of the investigators made it possible to nab the burglers while they got a clue to them through a man who had purchased the gun from them in a distant village.

Two houses were reduced to ashes in two different villages during last night

CHITRAL: Two houses were reduced to ashes in two different villages of Brok Laspur and Greni Lusht in upper Chitral during last night rendering the occupants homeless.
Police sources told this scribe that in Brok village of Laspur valley, the house of Mirza Nadir Shah caught fire in the early hours of Thursday and completely engulfed the house reducing it to rubble before the neighbors could rush to extinguish it.
In the second incident, the house of one Nowroze Khan was caught fire in Greni Lusht village near Booni while the cause of fire could not been known immediately in both the cases.
