CHITRAL: The Child Protection Unit of Social Welfare Department has issued strict warnings to the vendors, hotel and restaurant owners, shop keepers and motor vehicle machinists not to engage the children as work force.
The child protection officer Imranuddin visited the shops in different localities of the town including Krup Risht, Denin, Goldur, Noghor road, Muldeh, Sabzi Mandi and Jughur and found a number of children below 14 years of age working in different workplaces.
He told the owners of the shops, restaurants and other places that action will be taken against them under the KP Prohibition of Employment of Children Act 2015 if they did not refrain from using the children as labour force any more.
