His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan Visits Parwak Mastuj Twice, Addresses Large Gatherings of the Ismaili Community

    Chitral Times Report

Mastuj : The spiritual leader of the Ismaili community, His Highness Prince Rahim Al-Hussaini Aga Khan, visited Parwak Mastuj in Upper Chitral twice within two days, where he was warmly received by President of the Ismaili Regional Council Upper Chitral Imtiaz Alam, Deputy Commissioner Upper Chitral Muhammad Imran Khan, and other local dignitaries.

His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan arrived in Chitral on his first visit to Pakistan since assuming the office of Imamat in February last year, making the occasion one of extraordinary significance for the Ismaili community. Thousands of Ismaili men and women from Pakistan and around the world gathered at the Didar Gah established in Parwak, where volunteers had been engaged in preparations for several weeks.

Addressing the Didar ceremony, His Highness Prince Rahim Al-Hussaini Aga Khan urged his followers to uphold unity, humanitarian service, modern and quality education, a healthy lifestyle, and environmental protection.

On the occasion, volunteers and members of the Jamat also presented a special art installation reflecting the concept of “Read, Move and Plant.” As part of the initiative, community members had written personal pledges on river stones and pebbles, committing themselves to play a positive role in the betterment of their villages, community, and society. These stones were arranged into three symbolic installations, one of which was presented to His Highness in Parwak.

The ceremony witnessed deeply spiritual and emotional scenes, as participants expressed joy and devotion upon the Didar of their spiritual leader.

Later, His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan departed from Parwak for Gilgit-Baltistan. On Monday, he is scheduled to meet and address his followers at the Didar Gah in Garam Chashma, Lower Chitral.
