AKAH Pakistan Welcomes High-Level Diplomatic Delegation to Kalash Valley

CHITRAL: Aga Khan Agency for Habitat Pakistan (AKAHP) is honored to host H.E. Mr. Jakob Linulf, Ambassador of Denmark, and H.E. Mr. Manuel Frederico Pinheiro da Silva, Ambassador of Portugal, on an official visit to Kalash Valley, Chitral.
The visit aimed to observe the impact of community resilience and disaster preparedness projects supported by the Government of Denmark and implemented by the AKDN agencies.
The ambassadors met with local leaders and witnessed a joint simulation exercise by trained Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) and Search and Rescue volunteers, highlighting evacuation drills and local readiness.
Their presence and encouragement underscored the importance of grassroots resilience and the value of sustained community engagement. During the visit the officials emphasized grassroots resilience through sustained community engagement and praised the effective use of development assistance.
The CEO of Aga Khan Foundation Mr. Akhtar Iqbal and other officials were also present on the occasion.
