Delegation from Government of Balochistan visits Chitral

CHITRAL: A delegation from Government of Balochistan and officials from Rural Support Programmes Network (RSPN) and National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) visited Chitral.
On the other day, officials from District Administration Chitral, including Ms Nusrat Jabeen, District Officer, Social Welfare Department, Mr Zahir Shah, DC office, Mr Mirajuddin, District Accountant and Mr Niaz A Niazi, Presidant District Bar Chitral, met with a delegation from Government of Balochistan and officials from Rural Support Programmes Network (RSPN) and National Rural Support Programme (NRSP).
The GoB delegation was on an exposure visit, arranged by RSPN with the support of Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP).
The past three days, the GoB delegation met with rural community institutions, formed by AKRSP, to learn from their experiences and observe models which they can replicate in rural Balochistan. The also visited the Micro Hydel Power Scheme in Bunni, which is managed by the rural communities institutions.
When the GoB delegation met with officials from District Administration Chitral, the two groups discussed the Community Led Local Development Approach and ways to incorporate three tiered community institution model into the government system.
The GoB delegation and RSPN thanked the District Administration Chitral for their hospitality and support in making their exposure visit a success.
