4th season of Chitral Football League concludes in Drosh town
CHITRAL: Afghan TV Peshawar clinched the title of the fourth season of Chitral Football League by 4 to 2 goals in its final match by beating the Bach Khan Football Club Loralai which was played at Colonel Murad Stadium Drosh in which teams from all the four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir participated.
An estimated number of 25 thousand football fans watched the final match of the national-level event where Lower Chitral DC Mohsin Iqbal and wing commander of Chitral Scouts Lieutenant colonel Waqas gave away the title and prizes to the winning team and the players.
The match turned highly sensational from its beginning as both the teams played valiantly and fiercely arousing the uproars of the spectators as their passions ran high during the moments of onslaughts on the goal posts.
By the first half of the match, both the teams had scored one goal each while during the second the strategy of Afghan team succeeded who scored another 3 goals while its rival could score only one more while the score board reading was 4-2 when the referee whistle to end the match.
The organizer of the event, Kamal Abdul Jamil said on the occasion that it was fourth of its kind in Chitral where footballer from across the country had assembled to their luck.
He said that the Drosh town hosted more than 350 players who had came here from different parts of the country for which he expressed his thanks to Chitral Scouts and district administration of Lower Chitral.
