    Rs. 2 bn released for compensation package of affectees of Tirah. Relief Department 

    PESHAWAR (APP): For the affectees of Tirah Valley, Rs. 2 billion has been released to the relevant bank under the compensation package and monthly assistance.

    Alaike, Rs. 920 million has so far been spent on transportation and provision of ready-made food during travel for the affected families.

     According to a press release issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Relief, Rehabilitation and Settlement Department, Rs. 4 billion has been allocated to facilitate affected families in view of population displacement from certain areas of Tirah Valley in District Khyber.

    Out of this amount, Rs. 920 million has already been spent from Rs. 1.645 billion allocated specifically for transportation of affected families and provision of ready-made food during their journey. 

    A complete record of these expenditures is available, including verification by the district administration and local elders, as well as signatures of recipients along with copies of their national identity cards, so that a full audit can be conducted at any time.

    In addition, Rs. 2.355 billion has been earmarked for the relief compensation package and monthly assistance for the affectees, out of which Rs. 2 billion has been released to the concerned bank. 

    This amount will be transferred to the families’ accounts through digital payments after complete registration and verification via NADRA.

    The payment of compensation is being carried out with full transparency to ensure availability for audit whenever required. Under the approved procedure, inventory listing of equipment, scanning, recording, post-installation verification, and supervision by the district administration have been ensured to safeguard records, resources, and public funds.
