Expected Visit of His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan to Chitral; Deputy Commissioner Reviews Arrangements at Didar Gah

Upper Chitral : Deputy Commissioner Upper Chitral, Muhammad Imran Khan, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Moazzam Khan Bangash, visited the under-construction Didar Gah at Parwak Lasht, Mastuj, to review in detail the arrangements for the expected visit of the spiritual leader of the Ismaili community, His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan, anticipated in the last ten days of May.
During the visit, the officials met with relevant officers and volunteers and expressed satisfaction over the ongoing preparations. They directed that arrangements be further improved and better coordinated in view of the importance of the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) appreciated the services of the Ismaili community volunteers, stating that their efforts would play a key role in making the visit of His Highness successful. They also assured full support from the district administration, including security, to ensure that all arrangements are completed in an efficient manner.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also issued instructions to the concerned departments to ensure cleanliness and improvement of the roads leading to the Didar Gah.
According to sources, Prince Rahim Al-Hussaini Aga Khan is expected to undertake a six-day visit to Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan in the last days of May. During the visit, he is likely to address gatherings of the Ismaili community in Parwak Mastuj (Upper Chitral) and Garam Chashma (Lower Chitral).
The visit is being considered highly significant in Chitral, and local residents are hopeful that announcements regarding development initiatives and efforts to address the region’s underdevelopment will also be made on this occasion. It is worth mentioning that the Aga Khan Development Network has been actively working in Chitral for decades in areas such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, irrigation, and other sectors, alongside government institutions.
