Tuny Pak Minerals Refutes Allegations, Calls Claims by Impostor Baseless

    Chitral Times Report

CHITRAL: Tuny Pak Minerals (Pvt.) Limited has strongly refuted allegations leveled by Mr. Mohi Ud Din Sani, who hold a press conference on August 27, 2025, claimed to be the Information Secretary of the Frontier Mines Owner Association. The Association itself has confirmed that Mr. Sani is neither a member nor holds any position within it.

Despite this, Mr. Sani accused the company of corruption, illegal exports, blacklisting, NAB cases, and misconduct by its directors. Tuny Pak Minerals has categorically rejected these claims, calling them baseless and defamatory.

The company clarified that all its exploration and reconnaissance licenses were legally obtained and its operations remain fully compliant with mining laws. It explained that 413 tons of antimony ore were exported strictly under a government-approved 500-ton pilot project permit, backed by a valid letter of credit of USD 206,546 in line with export policy requirements. The testing report confirming a 96 percent recovery has already been submitted, with wastage properly disposed of.

The statement further noted that any NAB-related proceedings were directed at certain individuals and not the company. Restrictions earlier placed on the company had already been removed from SECP records by the SIFC Secretariat. The company also denied ever being blacklisted by any government authority.

It was added that Dr. Ishaq, a Chinese partner of Tuny Pak Minerals, is legally authorized to work on the Chitral Project and has been engaged in lawful mineral exports, including large-scale copper concentrate consignments worth about USD 2 million each. Since 2011, the company has been paying regular monthly salaries to local employees and continues to honor agreements with villagers and landlords by paying rents accordingly.

According to the company, its case is presently under consideration before the Mineral Titles Committee (MTC) in compliance with a High Court order, with the relevant exploration area legally protected until a final decision is reached. So far, an investment of around USD 5 million has already been made, while an additional USD 110 million investment proposal has been submitted for approval.

These false statements and impersonation have caused serious reputational damage to the company. It reserved the right to pursue legal remedies against those responsible.

Meanwhile Dr. Muhammad Ishaq has categorically rejected what he described as “false, concocted and malicious allegations” made against him during a press conference.

In an official statement, Dr. Ishaq clarified that the accusations are entirely unfounded and appear to be part of a deliberate campaign to mislead the public. He further announced that a legal notice has been formally issued to Mr. Muhiudin, and his legal counsel has been instructed to initiate defamation proceedings under the relevant laws.

Terming the development as “highly unfortunate,” Dr. Ishaq expressed concern that matters currently under due judicial process are being distorted and presented in a misleading manner before the public. He emphasized that such actions not only attempt to tarnish personal reputations but also undermine the dignity of the people of Chitral and the credibility of state institutions.

Dr. Ishaq reiterated his firm commitment to pursue all lawful remedies and urged the public to remain cautious of fabricated narratives aimed at creating unnecessary hostility and mistrust within the community.
